Meet Ife

Ife is trying to find love during lockdown and social distancing. Having nearly lost her father to COVID in the last COVID and Me series, Ife is trying to convince her date not to believe all of the conspiracy theories rife in the community and to follow her lead and to do his part by signing up to take part in the vaccine trials.

I went on a date

I went on a date. Well – can you even call sitting awkwardly on a patch of grass two metres away from someone a date? obviously we get onto the subject of coronavirus, because how can you not, it’s like…conversational glue. And I tell him I’m thinking of possibly signing up to take part in one of the trials. But Adio is like, completely shocked, and he says to me – why the hell would you wanna do that?

The most important thing really is

But the most important thing, really, is – how will they know if the vaccine will work on people like us, and be safe for people like us, if they can’t test it on people like us?
